DIRECT ACTION: A Spine for Biden

When the Biden Administration wanted to pass the infrastructure bill they pulled out all the stops. The President toured the country campaigning for the bill and made bold promises about how he’d win funding for the programs our communities need in the future. Biden even called the mother of Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal as part of his blitz to build support.

But months after promising the he could bring along Manchin and Sinema and pass the Build Back Better Act, Biden has all-but given up on this transformative piece of legislation. And he’s given up on our communities.

Biden was willing to fight for the roads and bridges in his infrastructure plan. We need him to know that our communities are worth fighting for too!

On Monday, January 31 join us in the streets as we shut down business as usual and demand that Biden use the power of his office to pass the healthcare, child care, climate, and anti-poverty programs that our communities need!

Meet us at 7am on January 31 at Black Lives Matter Plaza and be prepared to take the streets and hold space while we disrupt business as usual around the White House and for the lobbying firms like No Labels that are leading the fight against the Build Back Better Act.
